Chemical Tanned Leather

This is generally the quickest method of tanning and produces a hard-wearing leather that requires little attention. The downside of this leather is that it doesn’t have the life span or workability of vegetable tanned.
This leather will have a light green/grey colour when viewed on the profile and often has colours painted on.
This is the most common leather used in the fashion and handbag industry. It is also used in heavy industry and some parts of the saddlery industry.
