Kangaroo Hide

The kangaroo hide stockwhips plaited in store by Ron from Ron’s Bush Leathercraft are highly sought after by those who know how to tell a good whip from the rest.

There is no red hide or inferior leather used in our kangaroo hide whips.

We craft our stockwhips in the traditional way by plaiting several layers of kangaroo hide over a kangaroo hide belly. Our whips hides are carefully selected to eliminate scars and faults that may weaken the finished whip. All our handles are double keepered and lead weighted for maximum durability and feel.

Our standard whips are all eight plait inners with a twelve plait outer layer. All handles are sixteen plait when one colour and twenty-four plait on selected two-tone work. Matched pairs and custom whips can be made to your requirements.
